Episode 30.The Bellflower
In the red-light district, the corpse of a Mafia member who is a barker in town is found. His throat is slit, but he is holding a bellflower in his right hand. Two detectives embark on an investigation in the red-light district, and find a prostitute whose hobby is raising bellflowers. From her testimony, the detectives conclude that the culprit is her acquaintance, named Fukuda. However, a month later, the body of Fukuda is found. His throat is also slit, and he is holding a bellflower in his right hand. The investigation is back to square one, but a scrivener is arrested based on eyewitness information. He pleads not guilty, and the trial begins.
